Building strength on the run

As a rule, strength training is usually incorporated into a triathlete's training regime for two reasons: to further develop the muscles that are involved in running (and cycling and swimming) and to prevent injury. The greater your strength and endurance, the more capable you are of having better performances and fewer injuries.
